Tail feathers One !
(English in blue ...)
Maintenant me voilà devant ma table,
Here I am, full
of good intentions: this time, no doubt to dawdle, I shall begin my work as
soon as I have in hand the first block!
I wait for the
envelope of Buttonberry with impatience.... A morning, it is there....
At first, open
the attractive blue package, take a peek on the model, then open the envelope
to discover the little gift … tea bags …miam!! Emma and Lisa do things well!!!
The second
stage for me and certainly not the easiest is to understand the explanations : the
dictionary at hand, I read conscientiously pages, just to be sure not to misunderstand
a form of sentence or a word : it would be bad to waste some fabric because of
an incomprehension!
At first, the model
of Natalie then the letter of Lisa and Emma. The hardest words to be understand
are the ones specific in the patchwork and in the sewing, to techniques and to
materials … I do not always know how to translate into French “vliesofix” (maybe
it is what we call “viseline”) and “bondaweb” ? it’s a mystery!
For embroidery
stitches, I bought the book “A-Z embroidery stitches” and as it’s in English,
everything is well!
The big hour later... I think that I understand everything!
Now, here I am in
front of my table, all my fabrics are spread … I have to choose if I begin with a small
checkerboard or with a block of log cabin or if I follow the explanations of
Natalie and I tackle " mini--block (a) " …yes but ….Do I try to
put fabrics in the same place as the model or do I change?
I always have
to put three hours choosing, it explains my slowness to advance my works !!!! I
am always afraid of making too fast and of regretting then...
The
continuation in photos … later!
